IDD gates

The Innovation Design District is a central area of Milan between Porta Nuova and Moscova.

Dontstop’s intervention includes the design of different gates that reinforce the identity of the District by defining the main accesses to the area. The project is designed to help visitors find their way in public spaces during public events. Each gate can be customized according to the sponsor involved and the event in progress.

The identity of the temporary structure is related to its flexibility, both spatial and constructive. Most of the space is occupied by the exposition area where is possible to find the shrines with the museum’s material and a basement structure for the exposition of the cups. Inside there are also services for the visitors and an area for projections and debates. At the upper level the exhibition gallery guides the public into the museum itinerary and also gives a large view into the internal empty courtyard of the double-height space in the middle.

The San Siro Store – Official merchandising is a store that allows the stadium to have a space at the height of the San Siro international sports facility. The design and layout project includes an intervention on all the spaces of the store which has two views over the playing field. The project reflects the identity story of the corporate image, making the common areas of the two different teams within the store recognizable.

The proposal for a communication campaign for the new San Siro Store opening involves 7 intervention sites that lead from the underground to the new store.

As part of the redevelopment of the San Siro stadium at the 2016 CLF, Dontstop architettura has designed the new graphic and signaling system for the orientation of visitors within the sports facility. The need to optimize the operations of a large number of different substrates and surfaces has suggested the adoption of a system of adhesives signals capable of guiding the viewer from the outside of the gate up to its place in the stands.

MILLEPIEDI table was created inspired by 60s’ concept of moving furnitures. Brunello and Brega wanted to realize something that creates the illusion of something that could move by itself in the space. Even if inspired by the past it is made with new high tech material: Fenix. This material thanks to its peculiar caracteristic, like the mythological creature from which takes its name, is extremely resistent from scratches and surface damages. In fact this new nano technology could be easily restored.
