ARCHIMACAO

DONTSTOP architettura, together with a group of architects and architects, has set up a work group called Archimacao with the aim of intervening on the Macao building, the new independent center for arts, culture and research in Milan.

In line with the broader vision of Macao, which sees cultural production as a common good, the project was illustrated in a public debate. Archimacao renounces the aesthetic dimension in favor of a programmatic and procedural dimension. An incremental project that aims to put Macao in a position to imagine and realize as many uses as possible of space over time.

On the occasion of the Salone del Mobile in Milan 2018, DONTSTOP architettura presents the project “Il Cortile” of BASE, within the former Ansaldo factory, in Milan. The site is today dedicated to creativity in all its declinations, through one of the most striking urban regeneration projects in Europe.

The project involves a vegetalization of the external spaces of the cultural center, the design of the bar with a refreshment area, the stage for the events and a new graphics on the ground that characterizes the flooring.

During the Monditalia Week End Special, “Green Gold Islands” wonders about the possibility of finding in the rural territory a real possibility for the development and growth of new models and lifestyles, linked to the rediscovery of agriculture as a territorial development agent. The explorative itinerary on the islands Sant’Erasmo, Vignole and Mazzorbo becomes becomes an opportunity for the meeting and exchange on the field of different knowledge and experience, the starting point for a meditation and discussion that considers the earth as a resource of global interest.
