CAMon!

The CAMon! project was born in 2017 in synergy with the national programs of the Ministry of Arts and Culture of Cameroon and the Vision 2035 program. The project is a collaboration of several figures and is on a multi-year plan that will be completed in 2020. CAMon!  intends to contribute and promote art and culture as lever of sustainable development in Cameroon.

With Dontstop, the students of the LABA school in Douala began a journey to learn how to use Design as a means of re-reading their culture.

“URBAN REFLECTIONS. Rialto Market Hub “develops a strategy based on the economic, cultural and social reactivation of the city thanks to an exchange of synergies at the local level.

The project identifies the “City Market” of Venice as the first application and development of the proposal. It plans a program that can make the space of the market live according to a complete life cycle, filling the physical space of activity even when the sales activities stop, turning Rialto into a laboratory, gallery, urban installation for the city during the 24 hours.

DONTSTOP architettura, together with a group of architects and architects, has set up a work group called Archimacao with the aim of intervening on the Macao building, the new independent center for arts, culture and research in Milan.

In line with the broader vision of Macao, which sees cultural production as a common good, the project was illustrated in a public debate. Archimacao renounces the aesthetic dimension in favor of a programmatic and procedural dimension. An incremental project that aims to put Macao in a position to imagine and realize as many uses as possible of space over time.

The Kakuma Soko project aims to introduce a new market concept standard within a very complex environment; the Kakuma refugee camp in Kenya. Working with modules that can be reproduced, modulated and constructed with site-specific materials, the project provides the possibility to involve the community even during the construction phases of the market. The soil has been designed as a multifunctional device that distributes the fluxes and works as drainage system and waste collector.

The interior design of the Huaxia Hotel is divided in two parts: the restyling of the hotel common areas and the architectural and image renewal of the rooms aimed at optimizing the spaces and surfaces used. The new image of the hotel is the result of the union between a contemporary international style and the traditional Chinese language. The planning reflection stems from the client’s need to respond to a taste of a clientele mostly from China.

The interior design “Il cielo su Torino” portray the panorama of the city within its spaces.

The volume of the restaurant is totally made of glass, amplifying the openness toward the exterior, suggesting a place that faces the square and that is defined only by the shape of the roof itself. The relationship with the existing building, an important episode in the construction of the city in the beginning of the 20th century and a sporadic exploration concerning its height, is solved thanks to the proposal of a brand-new volume with a clean geometry and neutral in the material choice.

The project consists in a new arrangement of the Signature Kitchen Suite in LGs’ Showroom in Milano. The customer’s request,  also responding to needs of selling display logics, concerns the need to host events such as show cooking and workshops in the showroom.

The implementation of new working spaces on the first floor of the building called “Hotel” has also given rise to the updating of the internal image of the large living room open on the bar used as a leisure and rest area for players.
The graphic characterization on the ground floor includes two great images related to the history of the Inter’s victories and repositioned the President Angelo Moratti’s statue and three dedicated collections; the first to the history of Inter since its foundation to today, the second to the players who make up the current squad of the team and the third to the presidencies of the Moratti family.

The project for FC Internazionale’s new offices in Appiano Gentile envisages a new horizontal stripe infill, partly reusing the structures previously in place, and characterizing the prospect with the great team logo. The intervention redefines the double-height space and offers an orderly visual arrangement of the spaces between the ground floor that houses the player lounge area and the first floor dedicated to the offices.

During the development of the project for the new BASE Milan Courtyard, it born the need to study the seats for the outdoor dining area located near the entrance to the cultural center. The seat shown for the first time at the 2018 Salone del Mobile consists of two main elements, the bench and the support surface that can be used as a table, which, if removed, can accomodate a tree within its cavity.

The project was studied in collaboration with Desamanera, a company expert in the development of new technologies and 3D printing and new materials. The seat structure is made of high-density polystyrene and is covered with recomposed stone.
